White Lion Inn
Almost within earshot of the busy M6 Motorway, the small, unspoilt village of Barthomley is a welcome remnant of an earlier, less hectic age. Its timber-framed, thatched pub, the White Lion, dates from 1614. The village and much of the surrounding land was once owned by the Crewe family - and the pub takes its name from their family emblem, the silver lion.
