Arley Hall and Gardens, Tudor Barn

Pictured here is a 16th century Tudor Barn seen from within the gardens at Arley Hall.

Arley’s gardens are amongst Britain’s top 10 and delight at every turn. Their many attractions include two walled gardens, scented, herb and shrub rose gardens, and historic double herbaceous borders. Another notable feature is the avenue of Quercus Ilex (evergreen oak) that has been clipped into giant columns measuring eight metres high by three metres in diameter.

Developed over 250 years by members of the same family, the gardens extend to 12 acres – and in recognition of their hard work and imagination over the generations, Arley has recently been voted as one of the top 50 gardens in Europe!
