Countryside

Cheshire Plain from Rawhead

Unlike many parts of the U.K., Cheshire has retained a traditional patchwork landscape of relatively small fields and hedgerow trees. This is a view that can be enjoyed by walkers on the long distance Sandstone Trail. It was taken near Raw Head, a dramatic sandstone outcrop which, at 227 metres, is the highest point on the Trail.

Location: Near Nantwich, Cheshire
