BUILT HERITAGE
Dalemain in Autumn
The site of the present house of Dalemain has been occupied since Saxon times. However, the great house we see today was developed in three phases, during the 14th, 16th and 18th centuries, when the imposing Georgian façade was constructed. Dalemain is a truly serene and beautiful destination, a place where little seems to have changed over the centuries and where there is a strong sense of connection with the past. Surrounding the house is a two hectare garden – please see the Gardens section of this website for images.
